The Hospital

Today at 4 I asked Ken if he could take me and Ashley to the hospital...her ear was just killing her and her doc said he would work her in in 2 days...UMMMMMMMM nope not gonna work....

Ken got here so fast...he must have flown

Last night Ash got maybe 3 hours of sleep, she was criing in pain all night...this morning she had said it was alot better and wanted to go to school...so I relented. When she got home she was really quiet and didn't want her normal french bread pizza snack...

I took her temp and it was 101...so I called the doc, she was all about waiting 2 days...HELLOOOOOO my daughter is in pain, she hurts, she needs something...

I give her some asprin and a benedryl before we leave...shes out cold in the car...we get there and go do the check in thing...2 hour wait in a crwded waiting room...shes getting warm again and cranky and its hurting...we are all miserable...

Finally we get into a room...she puts on that gown and chats to me and Ken non stop as she tries to calm her nerves.

over an hour later the doc comes in, looks in her ear, yep its red, looks like a mild infection...she gives my baby tylenol with codine...oh boy, as well as Amoxicilin...shes out in the car...we go get her a happy meal and get her home, hot shower and bed...OUT COLD in 5 min lol...

Ken had to go home since hes on call and if there are any problems I don't have the equipment here he needs...he didn't want to leave and I didn't want him to leave.

He was so good tonight, never batted an eye, and took over the daddy role great, Ashley looks to him for strength and me for comfort, it all works for us...shes still asleep, and I am going to try and get some sleep as I have yet to sleep in 2 days...

In my last post I talked about not spending real real great time with Ken, then tonight, after this, I realize I spend a ton of great moments with him, and Ash...as a family, and I was just over analyzing things...panicking cause I am a dork...

Kens brother is back from NO and was telling me about it, he wants to go back, he knows he can do more to help, hes looking for someone or a group to go with...hes a good guy, and I am glad Ken and him are getting some time togather...they are as different as night and day but the love is there...always...that whole family is very close, it amazes me, leaves me in awe...they are all so lucky, and they know it...sure they are human and forget from time to time, but never for very long...I envy them more than they will ever know...

Anyways I am off to try and get some sleep while Ashley is out of it, I have her parent teacher thingy tomorrow at 3 something lol so I need to look awake lol
