Survived the Holidays

Well after really hating the whole holiday season this year I have to say that Christmas was really pretty good...

The Sunday before Christmas we had lunch with my step mom...it was nice. I miss her and my dad, they live a few hours a way now so I never get to see them any more...We went to Marie Calenders...she gave Ash her present from my dad (50 bucks) and then after lunch was over she took a few pictures of Ash and I for my dad...all in all it was ok.

Coming up to Christmas I baked so many cookies and then Ken and I made fudge...I made over 50 dozen cookies lol...we gave them away as presents in really cute tins...we made a peppermint fudge that was actually really good :) I love to bake...I am really good at it, I can make almost anything without problems...I am a better baker than cooker...I can cook, but I like precise measurments, I like to know if I add all the measured ingrediants my cookies, cakes and so on will be perfect, while with cooking its mostly done to taste lol...I hate dashes and pinches and a shake of this blah but I do like to cook as well lol...

On Christmas we did the gift thing here with my mom...we worked hard on getting Ash everything she had asked for lol man is she a spoiled little girl ;) its fun to spoil a straight A honor roll kid that gives us no real problems lol...she got a guitar, fly pentop, tons of clothes, Cd's, make-up, art supplies...and oh so many other things...she has over 200 in gift cards to go shopping with lol...I got new high heeled boots that go to the knee and a DVD/VCR combo...Ashley got Ken the funniest gift...she calls him Barbie since his name is Ken lol so she bought him a barbie lol...I got him warm pajamas and some slippers and a pocket knife....all in all it was a great morning...

then we all got ready and went to his parents house for Lunch and presents...its always fun to be with his family...theres alot of laughing and sillyness lol...it was alot of fun...then back her to have diner with my brother and mom...David looked great...tired, but great. He seems happy, and thats all I want for him...he has had nothing but shity luck his whole life and even though hes going through hell right now he truely seemed to be happy lol...
