A very cute young man named Gavin wrote her the sweetest note I have ever seen. In it he explained how he had gone around all day trying to find out what being a valentine meant....and that the best explanation was a person you wanted to be with all the time, the person who makes you smile, the one that you look forward to seeing everyday...will you be my valentine?
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was beaming, all smiles, and I was so scared!!!! My beautiful little baby has grown into a beautiful young woman, when the hell did that happen?
She has not stopped smiling since yesterday, she had her friends over after school so they could discuss this huge step in her life...it was all just so cute.
See she has come home everyday talking about Gavin, ans she smiles everytime, and I knew she was crushing, hes a good kid, smart and funny...and now they are this sweet little couple and if he touches her I am going to kill him lol...
Last week was so hard for me as well...I had to register her for high school, my baby is going to high school...what the hell is going on here!!!!!!!!!! When the hell did she grow up?
I miss my little girl with the wild curls and huge blue eyes that melted everyones heart with a smile, the little girl who wasn't afraid of anything but still had to hold my hand just incase...its hard to watch them grow up :o(
The good part of it was when all her friends asked if she was going to tell me about Gavin she never hesitated, she said, " yeah of course, shes my best friend." I must be doing something right, because she tells me everything, and she still holds my hand out in public, she still turns to me when shes sad or scared...inside this beautiful young woman beats the heart of my amazing baby girl...she just no longer fits in my lap lol.
Ashley is all that is good and right in this world, she cares about everyone and everything, shes smart and shes goofy...she is her own woman and never gives into peer preasure, amazing huh? Last night out of no where she told me she was never going to smoke or do drugs and that she was going to wait till she was married before she took that huge leap...she said she had thought about it alot and that its how she feels...shes amazing.
They always say you are born to be something, some doctors, lawyers or whatever, me I was born to be Ashleys mom, thats what makes me happiest, being here when she gets home, to hear all about her day, teaching her all the important stuff such as not doing drugs or smoking, not to steal or be mean...you know all lifes lessons, but I also have taught her all the little things like laughing at life and not taking it all so serious, that when you fall down you need to get back up and do it all over again...shes turning out pretty damn good.
I am so freaked out though because it was one thing facing the fact that my baby is growing up, but a whole other thing to accept some damn boy chasing after her...but I am happy hes a good kid, and that he makes he smile :)
Well thats all I got for now...just needed to get that all out lol
